This house sits on top of a mountain with spectacular views of the Hudson Valley. The goal was to elongate the house so every room enjoyed the sweeping vistas. When the client asked for a house design on a mountain top, Andrew had no idea that the view was so incredible. The objective was to give a window to the world with a wonderfully dynamic roofline. Each day started with the sun streaming through a total of forty eight windows. Natural materials with earth tones made the house blend into the scenery. Within the house the client asked for height, warmth and light. This goal must have been achieved because the client spent many enjoyable evenings in front of the stone fireplace.
