The original house was located on a small sloped lot among many tall trees with a sweeping view of the Ashokan Reservoir. By following the verticality of the trees Andrew enhanced the breathtaking view and blended the house into the existing forest with a natural wood facade palette that matched the color of the tree bark. He even created a roof deck atop a stair tower that, on a clear day, one could see the mountains in MA and CT.
