This Tupper Lake, NY residence was cut into a stone cliff to take advantage of the stunning view of the entire lake. Our client was a longtime fan of everything the Adirondack Park brought to life. We gave each bedroom a screened-in sleeping porch so everyone has the unique experience to wake to the soft call of the blue heron. A large stone two-story fireplace in the great room gave warmth on cold afternoons while one looked out over the lake from the many cozy sitting areas. A screened-in dining room located off the kitchen gave you the sense that you were sitting on the water’s edge; so if you chose, you could say hello to your neighbors as they paddled by in their canoes. The house was carefully nestled within the trees so that you can see everything, but no one can see you.
